3-D MAPPING
I heard they were building a giant over-ground tunnel from Texas to Quebec, one nerve bundle connecting to it's sister neurons. The territory of the sky is being negotiated and calculated. Imagine, a world without 2-D maps and spinning globes. They'd have to map out the portions of the sky as well. Modern science better catch up to the advancements of man-made continental change! Multi-dimensional globeulation.

ANATA NO KOKORO

Digging through my past poetry anthologies (2006), I stumbled upon this little creature---then the next year I had my mother translate and I took the parts of her translation that sounded good to me and turned it into a song sung in a japanese jazz style. So-in the end, my poem, which had a somewhat blue, rhythmic beat to it, became a pink jazzy diddy with trumpets!
See the transformation below:

I want to kiss you, to touch
the blue on the waters crinkle and the hush of the sea storm
Not of my imagination, not of my minds eye creating romance from unmistakeable beauty
( moments when your heart paints a portrait of light)
No, a kiss drop on a thousand meters of sea where below
The creatures turn one eye upward in their upsidedown world
A cleanse on the surface of your skin from the sea sky above of warm
Beats pitter patter down
Faster my heart rain soul yearns wet kiss lips

-Christine Hale

JAPANESE TRANSLATION:
Anata Ni Kiss Sitai (i want kiss you) Chinmoku No Arasi De Aoku Wnetta Nami Ni Furetai (want touch the swell of blue and silent storm) Watasi No Souzou No Romanse Jya Nai Akiraka Na Wtukusi Sa Ga Egaita (not my imagination create romance it from unmistakable beauty) CHORUS: Anata No Kokoro Ga Hikari Wo Egaku Sono Syunkan (your heart shines light)

SCHOLARLY TEXT
Old or new, the jargon twinkles, the fascination of the known unknown known. Our definitions of life as we know it, swaying, changing. The general rules and the rules to be broken between new crispy sheets or yellowed and crumbling. Something exciting about picking up an encyclopedia or dictionary. Perhaps power, wielding knowledge, a cookbook to memorize and then take the polar opposite of the known and create an unknown. The third dimension bending into the fourth. Time Travel!

WELCOME

There are a lot of poems in my The Blue Shorts blog that really belong over here. If they don't have titles, then they go here. But, I'm not going to move them over because this is here for newness. Ooey gooey sticky new. And I just came up with this idea tonight so everything here on out should reflect this change I have within myself and a slight change on my outlook on life.

Writing is documenting change. If you read through The Blue Shorts from the beginning to the end you see it is documenting my internal changes, struggles. I went from a dark period ( there are a TON of stories I didn't make public because they were quite harsh-the bitter reality of my life) into breaking my hand and then making a change within myself. Then you'll see that I move into poetry and more abstract ways of articulating my more refined psychosis and, you'll notice a major change with my style and with my heart.

Lately I've started to become obsessed with more fantastical thoughts of space travel, time, dimensions, being, tiny things and big things, and the interconnectedness of it all. To start this blog off right, I'm going to quote from an article which propelled me to write in this direction because of the publication company (Blesok: www.blesok.com.mk) that inspired me to do this.

From: "Nothing Comes from Nothing" a lecture and conversation by Peter Brook.

The person who is willingly making him or herself more empty becomes through emptiness a receiving instrument for a finer sensitivity.

This is the theme of the blog.
GETTING BETTER STARS:
Are you feeling blue? I just sent you lots of getting better stars from the tips of my fingers. I shot them up at the sky so you have to go outside and find them!

MULTI-TIMEMENSIONAL PRESENT TENSE
Some people (like me) are better focusing on the now. There are NOW people and there are FUTURE people and well all live in different times at the same time. And there are PAST dwellers which are living ghosts.

COUSCOUS
Couscous is a delicious dish, and a sweet friend, but, its really tricky as well. When I eat it I just can't get enough, like I'm eating air. It's a food for the stomach, not the mouth, not the space between the mouth and the stomach-the space that brain makes the tongue taste and the mind hold on to something dearly.
If only my stomach had a mouth too. What would life be like if you got to eat something delicious twice? Would "delicious" have to be redefined? Refined? What is more than delicious? How I would like to know!

HONEY
Have you ever sat there and tasted it, I mean, really grasp that this liquid is from flowers and from millions of bees and contains the wind, the stars, all the moments from each little bee, all the mornings of each flower.

SPACE TRAVEL
A perfumer isn't just someone that has scents memorized, but they are a writer/musician/artist telling a story by observing the world around them. Their time machine floats up to your olfactory and instead of the machine taking you there, you take the machine.

I just read an article called "Nothing comes from Nothing" which is about acting and how to connect to your character from out of the blue. It's so funny how I stumbled upon it because I was thinking about this the past couple of days (about acting and how the best actors jump right into the deep psyche of their character ) and how it's like smelling a perfume and being transported instantly---I think I'm on to something...space travel, we do it all the time and we don't even know it!)
